Thanks for combining those. Is there a way to set the new edition as the default cover displayed?
When I search for "Finding a Best Friend", all I see is the old cover. I want readers to see the new cover instead. And the landing page for the book is the old edition. Is there a way to change that?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... is where they should go.
It is the Revised Edition for a reason.

For anything else on the site, you'll just need to wait.

Yes, I tested that, and the current edition is the default for J.T. Swan's profile page. However, the old edition is the default for Jared Swan's profile page, which is different than mine.
Upon further inspection, I noted that the current edition lists the authors, Jared Swan and J.T. Swan. Whereas the old edition is just Jared Swan is the author.
This exercise was for me (as J.T. Swan) to claim ownership of the old edition.
Now, the current edition has two authors listed, but they are the same person, me.
Can I suggest a couple of courses of action?
1) Merge the authors, such that J.T. Swan is listed as the only author on all editions.
2) Remove the author Jared Swan from the current edition and add J.T. Swan as an author to the old edition.
3) Undo the merge altogether. The point of merging was for me as J.T. Swan to claim ownership of the old edition, which hasn't truly happened yet.
Why am I making such a fuss about all this? And I'm sorry that I am. But I have new readers, searching for "Finding a Best Friend," looking for the new book cover. A couple of days ago, both editions were in the results; now, only the old edition is in the results, which will cause confusion for them. I am making a wild guess that it's because there is one book with three editions, and no one is the author of all of them.
Oh, and one more thing. Just released today is the hardcover edition of the new edition.

Can you include that with the other editions?
Thank you for your help in this matter and your patience.
Note: these comments are such emotionless communications. Though I might seem picky, I am writing this with a smile on my face, thinking "I'm publishing my first book for real!"
Genuinely, thank you for your patience and help in making this accurate.
I spent the next three years revising, rewriting, and generally changing most of the book except the title.
I republished it with a pen name. Finding a Best Friend: Revised Edition
If I could attach a screenshot, I could show authorship in Amazon. The best I have is my email jared.swan@gmail.com. Is there anything else I need?
Ultimately, I would like to remove the previous edition (ISBN 9798846038936) since only a handful of people bought it, mostly friends and family, and it is now out of circulation. If not, make this the first edition, so the cover doesn't appear in any search results, and doesn't appear as the primary cover on the book page.
You can contact me here or at my email: jared.swan@gmail.com. If you have any questions.
Again, Finding a Best Friend: Revised Edition is the current version.
