So I’ve read 10 books this month (I don’t even know how, since I could barely read two books a month a bit ago although I’m sure the fact it is summer break right now contributed to the amount of reading I got done). Seven out of ten of those books have been Freida McFadden books (…yes, in a row). I would love to read another Freida McFadden except the last two books I read have gotten a lower rating for me than what I usually expect to give her books. So instead of continuing on with the thriller/McFadden obsession, I want to read something else. I just don’t know what. If you have any fast paced book recommendations that are NOT romance (it’s okay if it has a romance subplot), let me know because that would really help me out. Please and thank you! (P.S. I’m so sorry that this is so long and over elaborated. I’m just in my feels right now.) 😭🙏🫶

You should try cruel prince. I'm a romance, fantasy kinda girly so I don't know many... But I'm writing one... Its realistic contemporary fiction. Romance subplot. Twisted success story kinda thingy.
I have two recs:1) The Hobbit (Olden but golden )⚡️The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
2) Sherina, the High Priestess. ( Girly, fantasy, with lots of magic)
The Chronicles of Beauty: Sherina, The High Priestess
Maybe ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ by Holly Jackson might be for you. It’s a mystery book and has a romantic subplot. I absolutely loved the first two books and I’m looking forward to reading the last one. In general books by Holly Jackson are really good! ^^
The silent patient Love,Mom
That's not my name
These 3 are very good thrillers.
The last one has a romance subplot and it's a bit sad too.
I’ve just finished all the colour of the dark and it’s become one of my top 5 favourite books so I recommend, it’s honestly hard to describe it’s a bit of everything (mystery, romance, thriller, crime) but I highly recommend it 🙏
