Uvrón | 20 comments I've photographed my copy of this book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Spine: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Cover: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Title page: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Colophon: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/...

Page count: 730

Publisher: Not The Abbey Library, I think that's just the name for this series. The colophon says the publisher is "Murray's Book Sales (Kings Cross) Ltd."

Publication year isn't visible in my copy. 1959 latest due to a handwritten inscription.

You can request a further edition for your book at 'adding new books & editions'

Uvrón | 20 comments The edition page I've linked to doesn't have any hard evidence of its publication date either. It lists 1950 only because the description guesses at that date—note the question mark.

So we have two books of similar description, both published for the Abbey Library series, both most likely published in the 1950s, one with 730 pages, one supposedly with 728. The lack of date on both copies even suggests to me that this could be a printer's error for the whole edition (see my colophon image; there are no signs of damage obscuring the date, only a lack of ink).

I can copy-paste this request into a different folder if you really want me to, but I think we'd just be creating two Goodreads pages for the same edition, and putting too much stock in the accuracy of a low-effort Amazon seller description.

Uvrón | 20 comments Anyone have a second opinion on this issue? I'm reluctant to add a new edition that I believe to be erroneous.
