Sorchia S.K. DuBois | 1 comments I’ve been a Goodreads author for years as Sorchia Dubois. During that time, I’ve read and commented on numerous books. This account is linked to my Kindle and Amazon account, where my reading progress is tracked and where I conduct business as an author. I’ve published books and used Goodreads to get reviews. All good.

A couple of years ago, I changed publishers for my three books, and while I was at it, in my infinite wisdom, I changed my author name slightly—from Sorchia Dubois to S.K. Dubois. And thereby hangs the tale.

Everything at Amazon and Goodreads spiraled into chaos. I lost all the reviews for my books on Amazon and had to set up a new author page, which resulted in the loss of most of my followers. While I didn’t lose reviews on Goodreads, I did have to create a new profile.
In that profile (S.K. Dubois), not all the new editions of my books appear, and the new editions that do are without reviews. In the old profile (Sorchia Dubois), I have the old reviews, but not the new editions of the books and not the new book covers and up-to-date info.

This makes it really hard to use Goodreads for anything, as it appears to be a mishmash with outdated covers on one side and no reviews on the other. Not what I want readers to find when they look for me on Goodreads.

A kind Goodreads librarian did help me sort of connect the two accounts and ensure that both author names are Goodreads authors which is helpful.
But there’s more to do.
1. I need the new editions to be accessible through my old Sorchia Dubois account, so I can conduct giveaways and other promotions. I also require the new editions to be linked to the old editions, allowing the reviews to be visible.
2. There may not be a way, but Sorchia Dubois and S.K. Dubois are one and the same person. One account to rule them all would be ducky. I will use S.K. Dubois for future books. I swear I will never change my author name again.

The account I want to use for author biz is my old one with the username Sorchia S.K. Dubois. This account has all my reviews—the ones I’ve written and the ones my books have received, my reading status, and all the history of my time with Goodreads.

The account I’d like to merge into the old one is S.K. Dubois. This one has the new editions of my published books but no reviews and nothing to indicate my activity as an author and reader.

I know this is a pain—and it’s all my fault, so I am so sorry. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I hope this makes sense. If I can clarify anything, please let me know.
Thanks,
S.K.
