Please help!!! My novel THE MISSING MANUSCRIPT OF JANE AUSTEN, published more than 10 years ago, is missing from my author profile page (list of books)! I found the book page here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Hello Syrie, it’s correctly attributed to yourself, but has been combined with the The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen; these look like different books with different plots, I can see that your author site has them listed separately, and The Missing Manuscript of Jane Austen has ‘bestselling author of The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen’ on the cover, so this does looks like a mistake. Before I correct this, would you mind just confirming? This book is not a revised edition or reworking of The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen, and is an entirely separate novel?

Yes, they are completely separate novels, published by different publishers! They have nothing to do with each other.

The Missing Manuscript of Jane Austen is one of my most beloved, best-reviewed novels and it's important to add it to my list as a separate book. Thank you for your help in fixing this issue. Please verify when it's complete.

Thank you very much for confirming. I’ve separated all the editions I could find; the French and Hungarian language editions as well as the original English language. I used National Library sites to try and check I’ve caught them all, but please just let me know if you notice a stray translated edition left behind.

It will just take a little while for the ratings, reviews and shelvings to all display correctly again, and for it to move up to its’ proper position on your author profile.

*edit: I’ve also left a Librarian Note on the record (only visible on the editing page, not to Goodreads users in general) confirming that they are entirely separate works, and that they shouldn’t be combined, so hopefully that will help prevent it from happening again.

(You might also prefer to remove your email address from message #1; you should see ‘reply | edit | delete’ in the bottom right hand corner of the message, if needed. The message board is public, and we’ve also been getting increasing amounts of spam-type messages here recently.)
