Don | 3 comments I read Children West A History of the Placing-Out System of the New York Children's Aid Society 1853-1890 by Miriam Z. Langsam, but it doesn't come up in the book search. It was published 1964 by the Department of History, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin Its Library of congress Catalog Number is 64-63185. I searched online for an ISBN number or ASIN number. How can I get this book added to the database? Thank you!

Don | 3 comments After reading the how to request a book to be added to Goodreads I realized that I left out some information.
Publisher: Wisconsin State historical society for the History Department, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Page count: 91
Format: hardcover
Description: Miriam Z. Langsam, in her study of the child placement movement, relates the history of the orphan train movement started by Charles Loring Brace. Her book also explains the background of the United States at the time and the reasons for the placing-out method. According to Andrew Gulliford in the Hayes Historical Journal, "This book offers detailed data on the placement efforts of the Children’s Aid Society."
Link to book page/cover, etc.: I was unable to find a photo, but I would be happy to scan the cover and inside publishing pages and send them if I am given an email address.

Hi, we appreciate your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog. We also need a webpage showing the ISBN/ASIN and other book data to validate the info and if available we need it for the cover image. It should be non-bookseller site (Amazon & AbeBooks excepted), so from the publisher, library or another acceptable site: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/..., if you have the book, we can use a scan/photo of your copy for the cover and the page with the publication information (you can upload a scan/photo of your own to the "more photos..." section of your profile (https://www.goodreads.com/photo/new) in the browser, not the app), then copy the link here and a librarian can add it. Make sure you state the source of the photo in the text and that your account settings are public (not private).
