I’ve got the book and here is what I think is a good schedule to read. The chapters are not numbered but named, and there are eleven chapters. For the most part, every two chapters comes out to about 40 pages. That sounds like a good weekly plan: two chapters per week for five weeks and the last week will have three chapters, but the last one is a short one. Let’s start the reading in a few weeks. This will give me time to send out a group private message to let others who don’t follow know of our read and get the book if they so wish. Plus I want to finish the discussion on The Displaced Person short story. So here’s our reading schedule.
1. Week of August 3: Chapters “The Island” (1) and “The Boat” (2).
2. Week of August 10: Chapters “The Family” (3) and “Tidal Wash” (4).
3. Week of August 17: Chapters “Save Us From Peril” (5) and “The Visitor” (6).
4. Week of August 24: Chapters “The Return” (7) and “The Bell” (8).
5. Week of August 31: Chapters “A Place Where We All Can Live” (9), “The Storm” (10), and “The Sentinel” (11).
