What’s a book you hyper-fixated on as a child?
The Folk of the Faraway tree by Enid Blyton. This book brought a whole new magic to my childhood. As a child I spent a lot of time in woodlands and surrounded by nature in general, so reading this book gave a sense of magic and mystery to the world around me.
I loved it that much I recall dressing up as the character Moon Face for a World Book Day when I was younger.
Such a lovely book that I will always remember.

Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series had me in a chokehold in middle school, but the Rainbow Fairies series and all the American Girl books were my entire life in elementary school!

I used to be obsessed with R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series. I got a box set from the Scholastic book catalog lol. Also, my auntie gave me a Choose Your Own Adventure book and those were so fun too.

The Selection Series and Harry Potter had a HOLD on me, but I think the Magic Treehouse books from like 2nd grade made me realize I like the escape.

When I was in the 5th grade, our elementary and middle school library were combined and I was obsessed with the high school/ YA books like the Private series by Kate Brian and Drama High by L. Devine. From there I got into Pretty Little Liars, Valdimir Tod, and the Mara Dyer trilogy! All books I was completely obsessed with when I was younger!!

I grew up reading Enid Blyton and I absolutely LOVED all of her books!! Mallory Towers and The Five Find-Outers and Dog series were some of my favourites 😍
It may sound familliar for somw of you other lovely readers here but the dork diaries series had a serious hold on me in my younger years I even attempted to draw in the same style 😅😅
i don't know if anyone else has read it but 'my secret unicorn' series were my absolute fav😭😭 and also the rainbow magic series, some enid blyton and bibliotheque rose books!

In fourth grade, my reading teacher would read a chapter book aloud every day before the bell rang. She always ended on a cliffhanger to keep us excited for the next day. It kind of drove us crazy because we never wanted it to stop! Props to her- she was an awesome teacher for that!
One of the books she read was The Ghost’s Grave by Peg Kehret, and I was OBSESSED. I read it so many times as a kid- no clue why, but it had me in a chokehold.
