Trinity was sidelined by her network for commenting on a segment where a young woman had received twenty-two scholarship. She said, “ “She obviously has her pick of any school in the country. It’s kind of ridiculous that she applied to twenty-two schools, don’t you think?” Was it highly inappropriate or just in bad taste?

It was not inappropriate or in bad taste! It is an appropriate comment. It was ridiculous to apply to so many schools when everyone is going to accept you! This was just to pump that kid's ego and looking for a better deal.

I agree with Anita. She obviously comes from a family of means. It costs money each time you apply to a school. She wanted bragging rights, IMO.

I do not think Trinity's comment was inappropriate or in bad taste. She is stating a fact.

It might not be in the best of tastes but it certainly didn’t rise to the level of even saying anything to her about it, let alone sidelining her.
