Chad Olshavsky (writerchado) | 1 comments Not many people have read it, but a few of those who tried said they DNF my novel RoomMate.
I don't have dreams of being rich or famous. I have dreams of stories and characters that beg to have their stories told. Characters who never had a voice to tell their stories until I placed my fingers on the keyboard.
Sometimes I have an idea for a story and start to write it. Suddenly characters will appear in it and start interacting with each other within my story.
Other times, I have a character that won't leave me alone until I place my fingers upon the keys.
Regardless, I let them use me to tell their stories. Some of those stories may be triggering, and frightful. Most of the time they're not written in the way an educated person who wanted to make this their career would write them.
No this uneducated antenna is who these characters and stories are choosing to use for them moment.
So if you take the time to leave a review, and your review is DNF, please tell me why. What we did to make our novel so unbearable and terrible? Because I can't stop being a vessel for these stories, but I can be a better one.
Thank you,
ChadO
Author at the time of RoomMate, and DreaMT.
