Gatsby climbs in the car, collapsing the wheelchair and sticking it inbetween the two front seat, waiting for Kay to enter

Kay sits in the car and he just looses it as he sobs

"What's wrong?" He says, putting his hand on Kay's leg

He whispers "i lost almost all my family in hospitals...i was scared i would lose the person i love the most then too"

Gatsby starts to drive to the ice cream shop "Have you had ice cream before?" He asks gently

he shakes his head not wanting to speak since he feels overwelmed

He pulls into thr drive throgh "what flavor do you want, they have vanilla, chocolate, oreo, strawberry, a bunch of flavors"

Gatsby nods and turns to order "Can I get one medium oreo and one small oreo?"

The speaker crackles to life, confirming the order and instructing him to move forward, which he does, he hands Kay the medium ice cream

kay eyes widen whispering "i don't think i'll be able to eat the whole thing bats..." he tastes a little whisperings "gods,you mortals love your sugars"

Gatsby eats all of his, then starts the car, pulling out of the parking lot "thats okay"

"Yeah" Gatsby says, redirecting to the store "what do you want to get?"

"Uh a notebook and some paints.."

"Cool" he says, pulling into the parking lot and grabbing his wheelchair, fumbling into it. "There we go. Come on, let's go in"

Kay closes his eyes and sinks to the floor

"Kay?" Gatsby's voice is full of worry, picking him up quickly and setting him on his lap

Gatsby holds Kay tightly, humming 'You are my sunshine' taking breaks every once in a while to whisper comforting words "You're okay, I'm here"

He shakes his head "no,just they come on suddenly,normally i can't control them till i pass out."

Gatsby gets back in the car, putting his wheelchair away "When we get home, I'm going to look for a job I can do from home. I can't be a lifeguard if my legs don't work." Gatsby turns on the car
