It’s the furthest thing from dark.
Yes some ppl got Killed blah blah and some girl liked getting fucked hard but like a lot of ppl like getting fucked hard
If you consider the twisted series a dark romance then the powerless trilogy is dark cause ppl get killed in it and so it the rose hill series cause they liked fucking hard

amara_gibsie and claires wife💋✨💍 (urgirl_amara) | 35 comments RIGHT?!?! Like do ppl know what the word STALKING MEANS. Cause if they don’t read haunting Adeline. that will show you what stalking is. Is yall call what Christian did as stalking there is smth very wrong with you. He didn’t stalk he looked u a few things abt her life which you would have been shot to fine cause shes an influencer.

Emily | 1 comments Its alright. I wouldn't really consider it dark romance in my opinion but I also like a lot darker books then this series so it could be considered a "dark" romance for someone else.

Anna Harding | 7 comments I think the meaning of 'dark' in relation to romance is shifting.

'Dark romance' used to be a way of separating the fluffy sweet sixteen stuff from themes like coercion or bdsm. But now the expectation is that 'dark' delivers much edgier content.

What we really need is a third category:

Cat 1 Traditional romance, soft themes
Cat 2 Dark themes but still a romance
Cat 3 Explicit and envelope pushing content

It would be easier for both readers and authors if 'Dark Romance' wasn't such a wide umbrella.
