Which order should I read the TOG series?

I've seen a lot of people on reddit and tiktok say it's best to start with Assassin's Blade, and others suggest starting with Throne of Glass (there were other recommendations too, but these two were the most popular ones to start with). I'm confused and still don't know which order to start :(

Throne of Glass

ı think you should start with throne of glass. Because if you start with the assassins blade, you learn the mysteries and the excitement is gone.ı'm sorry my english is not very good.

Start with book 1 and then read 0.5 (the prequel) either second or third. You need to know the charters first but the prequel gives amazing background the whole time, and it PAYS OFF!

In my opinion, having read the series twice, this is the MOST impactful and emotionally gripping way to read TOG. You should read Assassin's Blade as a series of prequels for other books. It allows you to have the BEST understanding of characters and plot, just trust me.

Throne of Glass
The Assassin and the Pirate Lord
Crown of Midnight
The Assassin and the Desert
Heir of Fire
The Assassin and the Underworld
The Assassin and the Empire
Queen of Shadows
The Assassin and the Healer
Tandem Read: Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn
Kingdom of Ash

Alyssa Maness Oh gosh! I never thought about breaking up the Assassin's Blade this way. If I reread this, I am keeping this recommendation! ...more

I have only read the TOG but I really enjoyed it!

Going in order is best

I read it in the order that the author recommended. If you start with Assassin's Blade, you ruin things for yourself in the first 2 books. And PLEASE do not tandem read Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn. That is the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

The order:
Throne of Glass
Crown of Midnight
Assassin's Blade
Heir of Fire
Queen of Shadows
Empire of Storms
Tower of Dawn
Kingdom of Ash

This is the order that I have it down as to read. :) I have also seen that you can do a tandem read of the last books, which I am very excited to try out. Currently, I am 73% of the way through TOG and enjoying it so far.
