modify moderator

I've had this done before but I don't remember how and I have no idea who to ask. We have a discussion group and the moderator has been inactive since 2015. I'd like to add a very active member as a moderator so someone can watch the discussions, set up books, etc. He's the primary poster in the group. I think it's important in case something untoward happens. Any ideas?

Is there another Mod apart from the absent one?

If so, they can add the new person.

To remove the creator of a group, you need to report to Support. I've seen them go either way, so its not a guarantee.
