Justin | 1 comments Hi everyone,

I'm a new writer and I’ve reached a point where I’m starting to wonder if I actually have something here, and I would be incredibly grateful for a few pairs of fresh eyes.

I have the first 14 chapters ready, and I'm hoping to get some early feedback on the core concept and execution before I get too much further down the road.

Here’s a quick synopsis:

When tech visionary is found dead, the world is told his experimental AI killed him. A brilliant but skeptical AI researcher is brought in to consult.

Meanwhile, a disgraced journalist and paranoid hacker operating from the digital fringe, already knows it was a hit. They are forced into an uneasy alliance, and together must unravel a conspiracy that goes deeper than they can imagine, facing an enemy that seems capable of editing reality itself.

About the Book:

Genre: A fast-paced, adventurous thriller with strong sci-fi and conspiracy elements.

Current Status: This is the first 14 chapters out of a planned ~100. The current word count is about 18,000 words.

Reading Style: The chapters are very short and propulsive. It's designed to be a quick and addictive read, not a huge time commitment to get through this first section.

What I'm Looking For: I’m not looking for a deep line-edit at this stage. I'm hoping to find out any gut reactions or broad-strokes feedback you have would be immensely helpful as I try to figure out if my writing and this story has merit.

Thank you so much for considering it!

Readchemy | 19 comments Hello! I would be happy to beta read this. The idea is intriguing—brief chapters, a tech conspiracy, a cynical expert, and a hacker-journalist team all seem like a recipe for a compelling book. I appreciate that instead of doing a full line edit at this point, you're concentrating on pacing and concept.

Happy to share honest, big-picture thoughts on plot, characters, and whether the momentum holds up. Please send it over if you're still seeking feedback. My email address is fav818699@gmail.com. I'm eager to get started.
