adding ISBN

I can't add or edit the ISBNs of books. Why?

Because they can't be edited, and if there is an ASIN on a record you can't add an ISBN. You will have to create a new record.

As Scott wrote, if the book already has an ASIN, you cannot add an ISBN. You will need to create another edition with the ISBN and merge the editions. If the edition was shelved five or more times, you will need to request a merge here.
