I can do an exchange. I have a coming of age story set in the 90s in the suburbs of New York. It’s about 25k in five parts. Each part is around 14 chapters. Each chapter is about 350 words a piece. It has an ABAB structure. A is the younger me, B is the senior in high school me. And it’s all in second person. Does DM stand for direct message? Sorry, new at this too. If you don't mind email, I can do a swap. Email is just much easier for me. I have a short story approx 6K (that I'm aiming to keep at or below 6K words). It is a sci/fi heist and relatively light hearted story. My email is mcdantonio0329@gmail.com.
I am open to reading any genre just as long as the book is under 20-30K. I am working on a novel myself and do not have the time to read a full length novel.
Anyways, onto my novel. My current word count is under 5K and all I need you to do is to read chapters 1-3 and the prologue. I will share the document with you through gmail and leave specific instructions on the document. I don't have a blurb at the moment for it but it is an isekai-fantasy adult novel (no spice but all the characters are adults.) Most of my characters are LGBTQIA+ so be comfortable with that.
Give extensive feedback; tell me what works, what doesn't, critique it, tear it apart if you need to. I don't care at this point just as long as I'm getting SOMETHING constructive.
