Not sure to be honest. Hopefully, I’ve tried to message them and only one of them accepts messages.

Janeylou | 2103 comments To be perfectly honest , i dont think im going to love whichever book we pick as mainstream historical is not my jam, BUT i also know that ive read books i dont like much with my team and they do make it better. 😊

@ NN , not sure if youve done many BRs within your team but we have and tbh we do have a good time , get sidetracked, have lots of differences of opinion , come out hating it , come out loving it .

But we do need to make a decision ..today, so think we all going to have to step out of our comfort zone 😄😄

As long as its under 400 pgs , and free/ cheap , im easy going

Yours is fairly long and expensive, Kat. Simone St. James is a good writer so I’m up for that one.

I'm like you, not my jam but I will take one to help the team out. Just as long as it's not like War and Peace super long. And who knows, I may actually like it.

Libby has it available for me so I can do it.

If it was War & Peace, i would definitely be running the opposite way

I'm a sports romance, psychological thriller, true crime and sports history type of reader. I will read other books if they look good, but my jam is what I listed above.

I don’t have it available from my library, or Libby so I won’t join in

message 73: by Janeylou (new)

Janeylou | 2103 comments Is Libby not a national thing ??

message 74: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten | 1276 comments Can we do a quick vote on books you’d be willing to read? You can rank if you like. These are the ones that have had some interest at different points. The list is in my rank order.

Death in the Spires by K.J. Charles
Dissolution (Matthew Shardlake, #1) by C.J. Sansom
The Broken Girls by Simone St. James
Fast Girls A Novel of the 1936 Women's Olympic Team by Elise Hooper
The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey
Pretty Dead Things by Lilian West

message 75: by Janeylou (new)

Janeylou | 2103 comments Not Dissolution..too long
Not Fast Girls ..too long / sounds awful

any of the others

message 76: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Lowe (jeslowe115) | 186 comments Janeylou wrote: "Is Libby not a national thing ??"

I think the book selection is library dependent. I have 2 cards and a lot of times, a book will only be available on one card. And I've seen where neither of my cards has a book, but my friend can get it on hers.

message 77: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Lowe (jeslowe115) | 186 comments My choices (in order):

The Broken Girls
Pretty Dead Things

Fast Girls (but I understand it's long, especially if not an interest area).
Dissolution has a super long wait on my Libby and it's long (I feel I would struggle with it doesn't look interesting to me).
I don't have access to Death in the Spires or the List of Suspicious things.

message 78: by Janeylou (new)

Janeylou | 2103 comments Kat....can you get hold of Pretty Dead Things ????🤞🤞🤞

message 79: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (bookoutbelow) | 1517 comments Broken Girls or Pretty Dead things are both fine with me.

message 80: by Kat (new)

Kat (bookworm2017) | 1525 comments The only one I can get is the list of suspicious things as I already have it, so yous are better just to read something else. Libby is a National thing but most of her books say notify me if becomes available I have book of cold cases unsure if that’s hf

message 81: by Janeylou (new)

Janeylou | 2103 comments Kat wrote: "Janeylou wrote: "Kat....can you get hold of Pretty Dead Things ????🤞🤞🤞"

This one?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pretty-Dead-......"

Yes ..this one , can you get that

message 82: by Kat (new)

Kat (bookworm2017) | 1525 comments It’s cheap on kindle but don’t like sound of it. Don’t worry read whatever yous want. If I don’t like the sound of something it just ends up being a dnf.
