I started reading this book. The characters are stupid like always. Usually books develop your brain but Freida McFadden books tend to lower your IQ to the level of the characters. The Greta character tries to have a personality but still seems quite basic. It’s like Freida McFadden said that the character had to be this, this and this and that’s how the character stays the entire time. Greta also reminds me of another character from a FM (Freida McFadden) book called The Present. It felt like the character was just copied and pasted. I listened to this as an audiobook that way I could do something else in the meantime and not waste my time reading but still I just couldn’t be bothered to read this book. The plot twists try too hard. Every FM book I’ve read so far seems to be the same: Stupid main character does something. During the book does a series of unintelligent things. At the end there’s an unexpected reveal, which is to be expected and everything is explained. I’m thinking about trying to read/listen to The Housemaid but I value my time and I hate wasting it. My curiosity will probably get to me so hopefully I’ll see you in the five star section soon!
