I’ve just started this to knock out unsolved mysteries plus quills, vampires. I just read the first chapter (and the last, as I often do) and it seems lyrical and confusing and definitely horror. Do you want spoiler bars?
I'm okay with no spoilers! I always am unless it's like a mystery solving reveal. I hope I like it because I have an arc of Drews next book. I've got a non-quest book, then Icarus, then this one up. I'm trying to knock all of these out quick (but I've also made zero vampire selections so a chance I'll have to bring it up quicker if it works for that)
It works for vanish without a trace, I think.

It's so creepy. I'm only a little bit into it--I've been writing my paper instead of reading, but I am off to exercise so I hope to read a little more. And I have some plane time tomorrow, but I notoriously fall asleep on the plane, so who knows... I will definitely finish it this week, because I have to do at least one for Vamps
There's a chance this will be a big spoiler but it has not been confirmed just my hunch. (But it has grown much stronger at the end of chapter 24)(view spoiler)
That is a big spoiler up there (I’m proud of myself for guessing lol) but seriously don’t read it until the end. I absolutely loved this and now an extra excited I have an arc of the next one. It was very purpley so I wonder if reading it I would’ve felt like it was too much, but it worked very well as an audio for me
I am about half through and I cannot figure out what's real and what isn't. But I love it. And I love these boys!

OMG this doesn't work for Vamps. I had it for vamps last week and didn't get to it. crap on a stick of crap.I may have to find a short one with bomb in the text. crap crap crap.
I have absolutely no idea what’s going on. I didn’t think the monsters were real, but now Clemens is dead and there are vines in the school and seeds in his ear and I have no idea what to think.

I just can't believe that came up in TWO books I read this week.
How'd you end up feeling about it? I loved it. So creepy and atmospheric. Very happy with the caliber of YA novels we've been reading for Quest
Same! I definitely loved it—rounded up 3.5 stars. I still don’t know how much was real. I assume they’re both dead/dying at the end and Andrew hallucinated/imagined/dreamed of Thomas’ kiss me as he died. And they were together/part of the forest in death.
What do you think happened?
Oh no I need happier than that lol. They sacrificed one heart but are sharing the other now in my world.
Wow, you are much more hopeful. Good for you. I see no HEA in this one.
