Karen Denise Foster | 154 comments I always recommend this series because it is one of my favorites. Stronger Series - Jay Marie - really dark, mafia, trafficking, GR, strong FMC, (one more book coming in series later this summer).

I would also suggest Adicted to Sin – Emily Stormbrook – Graphic torture, abduction. I liked this series a lot.

This one Mindf*ck Series - S.T. Abby -- is a MUST READ if you like dark, graphic, serial killer, WTF moments. Not as much spice, but really good.

Break Her – B. G. Harlen – Hostage, graphic, dark, WTF ending will have you worried and wondering up to the very last page....

I Know What Love Is - Whitney Bianca - Very Graphic and dark.

And this one I just read a bit ago and she is on my favorites list from go. Red Rabbit and Darling Wildfire – Devyn Rivers - dark, graphic, bloddy, kidnapping, trafficking, military, FM, MFM, MM, debut books…really intense and really good.

Mollie | 1 comments I think some of the darkest books I’ve read that I’ve enjoyed are Hollow Hellion by Jodie King and Phantasm by Harleigh Beck:))

Shadow Reader (semi-Hiatus until September 🏝️) | 10 comments Hollow series by Jodie King 🖤

Elizabeth | 2 comments Dark as in messed with my head for a good while? Definitely Under your Scars.

Haunting and Hunting Adeline was amazing to read and will stick as one of my favorites.

I’m not sure if it’s considered “dark romance” depends on how you view dark I guess but the Unmasked Series by Luna Mason were a good read as well. They were like my buffer reads when I needed a break from being stuck on my previous reads if that makes sense

Hope that helps ☺️

Teags 📚 Downwiththetriggers (downwiththetriggers) | 11 comments If you’re looking for dark, dark unhinged will keep you awake and pretty much no romance, Deviant by Ellie Sanders (it’s a captor/captive with Stockholm).

If you’re looking for a series with secrets and mysteries, a strong romance plot and just beautiful writing the hollow boys series by Monty Jay is incredible. And the spice scenes in there GIRL 🥵

If you’re looking for a psychological twist that is dark, with a why choose aspect and secret society, The Blackwood Institute is a good pick. If you want something that’s still along those lines but with hotter spice Unhinged by Steph Macca is amazing, it’s not completed yet but offt those boys.

Anushka (aaw_) | 3 comments Well girls🙌 hello, I have read mostly all popular dark romance books, in which Hauting Adeline by H.D.Carlton was epic and very much dark.
I was reading an more epic book☠️ Take me with you by Nina G Jones, god this book is so dark☠️, the mmc is a serial RAPI*T ☠️☠️☠️☠️ and he keeps raping the fmc☠️☠️☠️☠️ and keeps her captive like an animal!!! argh I won't give more spoils for this, but it's enough for you to go and read!!
I got more books to recommend similarly very dark, add me up so we can yap🫶🫶

Her work is really dark. I have read two of her books (In His Cage and Delivered To The Devil) and although I love dark, she never gives a HEA or even a HFN. I have to have at least some hope for the FMC, and she leaves me so torn up by the end I just can't read her. If you don't need those, she's a great dark author. Both books I read would have been five stars had they ended better.

lilith | 8 comments Right now I'm reading a book called 'Once you're mine' by Morgan Bridges... It's an amazing book, and it's kinda like Haunting Adaline bc it has MC as a stalker but to me at first it was a little too much like haunting adaline but in all it is a very good book.

I heard this was dark, but I couldn't get through the first 30 pages. There were so many grammar errors and repeated sentences I was pulling my hair out.

Yeah, I do that a lot of times too and then regret the time lost that I could have been reading something better. But I will dnf if the grammar errors outweigh even the minimal enjoyment from me.😂
