Kai's Darling | 660 comments fantasy! Try reading: The Prison Healer by Lynette Noin and Once Upon A Broken Heart bye Stephanie Garber (both are fantasy but aren't too heavy on it. making them good for coming into it)

Elizabeth Lewis | 1 comments Try YA: Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay . It’s set in the Philippians during the reign of President Duerte. Jason’s cousin, Jun, is shot and he goes back to the Philippians to find out who shot him and why it happened. President Duerte considered users, sellers, or anyone involved in the drug culture, the enemy. He killed 10,000 to 20,000 Filipinos while President. This information all comes out in the first chapter so no spoiler alerts.

Nat | 141 comments Something totally new I’d recommend is The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo. It’s tangential to your preferred genres but such a unique story and so beautifully done.
