And I am currently reading book 2, the sequel to Ruth's Bonded,

Immortal Dark was such an interesting take on vampires since it's based on East Africa and the FMC was a feminine rage girlie so it was quite fun reading it.
However, Gideon the ninth by Tamsyn Muir was a book I could not finish for the life of me. The world building was not even focused on, you just had to cruise through it.
The banter was something I could not enjoy, it was supposed to be funny??!
I gave the book around 150 pages and made my decision.

This is a reread for me. Awesome series! They were all 5 star reads for me😀
Just finished Devotions by Mary Oliver. It's the first poetry book I've read, and I simply adored it. I felt serene and joyous whenever I read a poem. I felt privileged to step into Mary's world. 5 stars! Plus Mary inspired me to start writing poetry. Albeit bad poetry lol 😆 having fun though...
An issue I had recently was the Mistborn series. I wasn't able to complete Hero of
Ages. I didn't understand the hype surrounding these books. I didn't care for the characters much or their development, and I felt I was reading 2 different Authors at times. I found the fight scenes quite boring after a while. That said, I respect the fact a lot of readers loved this series. Just wasn't for me.

Just finished my first romance novel 'Hearts in Darkness'. Thanks Nya for the recommendation!!! What a treat! I truly adored it. Cant wait to start another! 🤎🤗

You're so very welcome! I'm so glad you loved it!

59% in..
This book is driving me crazy!! It is working my last nerve, and not in a good way at all! I have read 24 chapters already.. Get to the phucking point, AG Wilde, before I blow this damn book up with a blow torch!
Jeez! How hard is it to just say WTH is going on here? You're way passed the set up. This is no longer intriguing, it's annoying AsF!

Nya - sorry to hear you're struggling with your book. It's so effing frustrating when an author just drags on and on. Just get to the point already!!! I hear you! Can't help but smile at your colourful little rant though ☺️
I'm struggling here too with Braiding Sweetgrass (Indigenous Wisdom, scientific knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants) It's not that I don't like it...its fascinating! I just don't think I'm in the mood for this type of book, which bothers me! One thing I have slight OCD about is that I don't t like a half read book on my bookshelf. I'd much prefer to hate, and as you put it Nya - blowtorch it!!! 🤣
I'm a third of the way through. I'll keep soldiering on for now...I have other books I'm wanting to start asap, but I refuse to have too many books on the go. Three at the most for me! We'll see...🤔

LOL! Yeah it drove me nuts! I can't believe I finished it and reviewed it though.. I will typically DNF a book if it's not working for me. Every time I finish a book I hate, I'm not all that kind when I review it. Cause that is time I'll never get back.. I learned a long time ago, to just let go and move on if the book is not working for me.. For some insane reason, I went against my instincts and finished it..
Ergo, the review I left was not all that kind. But it was fair even though it wasn't all that kind of a review.. I suppose I could have been a real b^tch and just gave it 1 star.. But that's not me..
I hope your book gets better for you.. Maybe you should take a break from it for a bit? Then come back to it, maybe?

If you like romance/fantasy, defo worth giving a go, might not be your cup of tea and be pre-warned that book 4 isnt coming out til july NEXT YEAR >.<
Made me shed a few tears on multiple occasions.
4 star read for me :)
Then tried to read:
The Dagger and The Flame by Catherine Doyle.
That books was DNFed so fast. 59 pages and I was done. Didnt connect with characters at all. Ive tried to read it 3 times and all 3 times finished further in to it, but nah. I have other books to read.

I updated a few things in my 2020 review for this book, but I still love this story..
It is still a 5 star read for me.
I will be starting book 2-

My 2020 Review.. I did update a few things in this review, however.
BUT.. (view spoiler)
#JustSaying
But I still loved this one! 5 stars indeed!
I will begin book 5-

Book 5-

My 2020 Revised Review
I LOVE the way this one played out! It had my heart in my a&& for most of the book, but it was incredible! The close calls and reveals in this one was on point in not only helping to move the secondary plot along in a major way, but also with what was happening with Gar and Naomi- collectively as well as individually.. In a word, (view spoiler)
And I LOVED(view spoiler) Yup.. this one was amazing!
And I can't wait to start Xavy and Tabitha's story in book 6,

Book #6-

My 2020/2021 Review
I love this 6th book! It was awesome! Intense and served well in moving the plot along for the Drixonians, while also introducing us to a new species and hopeful allies.
And now, we(Me and Craig) finally made it to the final book!!!!
I will be starting this one, if not today, sometime tomorrow.
