Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments I have renamed a book and would like to see if it's possible to transfer the reviews? The Scarlet D has been renamed Finding Scarlet. The only changes are to the title and cover. Can these reviews be transferred?

Scott | 9662 comments Use the "combine editions" link above your book list to combine the editions.

Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments Does that work if they have different titles?

Yes.

Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments I tried to combine but doesn't seem to be doing it. I just keep going in circles. What am I missing?

Some people are experiencing a bug with combining. I'd sign out & take a break. If it still isn't working for you after that, request help in this folder.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... or contact Support https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

This isn't a Superlibrarian issue & currently there isn't a Superlibrarian answering requests here.

You couldn't do it as its not under the GR author name but under the name without the initial.

Sorry Sandra, I should have checked that!

Scott | 9662 comments Strange. I saw both titles on her page when I answered earlier.

message 10: by Scott (new)

Scott | 9662 comments Ah, not the primary author.

message 11: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments I am the primary author of both titles. I just did a new cover and title. Book is the same. So I'm confused. What is GR author?

message 12: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments So I do see that Finding Scarlet was combined under The Scarlet D. Now my frustration is that the new title I would like featured is Finding Scarlet, but that has disappeared under The Scarlet D. Is there a way to reverse that by having primary book be Finding Scarlet? I want to do a giveaway and will need that the primary book. (Sorry about these questions. This renaming has been quite the undertaking).

Scott | 9662 comments Kirsten Pursell is the primary author on those books, so you were unable to do it from your account. I'm not sure why you have two names on every book, when only the longer name is necessary. Ask support to merge the shorter name into your profile and you will have control over all the books, including ability to set the default.

If you don't manually set the default, the one that shows on top will be the one most users have shelved.

Kirsten Pursell | 16 comments I published one book under the longer name. It's been an issue ever since. When I added Finding Scarlet, all my books suddenly had both names. I will check with support. Thanks.
