If I do a search "michener poland" I see a few books with funky titles, such as: "Poland by James A. Michener (2015-04-07)". I thought a user did this and set about to correct. Then I looked at the log and saw a bot did this, so I reversed my changes. "Unknown author" was one change I made (I deleted it), but can't see how to revert that change. I'm out in deep water here, so I didn't want to go further, but perhaps this is an amazon bot error? This was created on May 7, 2025. This happened with others in the results that came back from the search. Just want to alert the amazon bot people.

Any book records you find that are formatted in that way are almost certainly secondhand seller records brought in by the bot. Another sign is that it has no ISBN (when it should) but only an ASIN and it is a physical format. The description might talk about the condition of the book or even just say "book." These records can be deleted, or merged with the proper edition if they have user adds.If you want to alert the Amazon bot people, contact support. Sadly, this is a massive problem, and as usual its up to us to fix it.
You were not wrong in correcting those data fields, even if it is a dummy record. Title should just be the title, etc.I have combined it with the real Poland editions. You can now set it to delete and merge. You may have to remove your comment from the bottom of the edit page. I could not merge it because of that.
