A Few Issues/Updates

Hi, I'd love if someone could help me with a few issues!

1. All the genres/categories for my book randomly disappeared, except one. Only LGBT remains. Can you please add Young Adult, Contemporary, and Canadian?

2. Is there a way to format the description properly for mobile? It's fine on desktop, but on mobile there's no spaces between paragraphs and it's hard to read.

3. One of my ratings has disappeared. For a while it only showed on desktop and not on mobile, and now it doesn't show anywhere. I tried to refresh the ratings and the page cache on the edit page, but it didn't help. Maybe I need customer support for this instead?

The genres are simply how readers are shelving the book. There's nothing that can be added or taken away by librarians, only readers.

No, that's unfortunately just the way it is. You'll notice it is the same for every other book on Goodreads mobile.

Could it be the reader deleted their rating? Unfortunately we also don't have any insight into that.

Thanks for the reply. The reader didn't delete it, I could still see it on their profile, it just wasn't showing on the book page. I contacted support this morning, and it's now fixed, so maybe they fixed it, or maybe the rating refresh just took a few hours.

For the genres, I thought there was one spot for the genre the author/Amazon assigns, and one spot for the shelves? Because it definitely had other genres when it was first uploaded.

"Genres: LGBT" is right under the book description, and then under peoples' reviews it shows the shelves it on. It is on 19 different shelves, so shouldn't something else show in the "Genres" section then?

Yes, I already did. But I didn't think the genre issue was site functionality. I thought it was just missed from when the book page got updated. Thanks.

As Rachel mentioned they are set by readers, and librarians cannot affect them.
