Merge two files of the same author

Hi, I'm a librarian and I saw that an author has two files in Goodreads. I tried to merge both and Goodreads said me that "Sorry, this author is on Goodreads and is responsible for editing their own data."
Could someone merge it?

i updated the second data to the correct name:
E.J. Mellow

vs. Mellow E.J.

that should pull the book into the real author page - and then we can merge it with the other books

Librarians can only merge profiles that are not verified. If a profile is verified, you need to contact staff. If the profile has no followers, topics, or other relevant data, simply move the book(s) to the correct profile by updating the author’s name on each edition’s book page.
