I have a different thought, I don't think Shannon could have stood up for herself because when you have a father who could beat you to death, you tend to keep your mouth shut, as for bullies, you NEED physical strength to fight them off if they are physically hurting you, ngl, I am surprised and proud of her that she still defends herself whenever she can, and isn't depressed, or wants to die.

My thoughts exactly!! I'm on chapter 15 and I cannot stop reading it but for the sake of br,I stopped eventually. I still don't like Johnny's whole cocky personality and attitude. But, he's so sweet towards Shannon. I cannot stop smiling at their small interactions. Plus, i hate Bella and Ronan so much..🙄
