summer light reads that will help me get out of my reading slump 😩😩

First thing that comes to mind for me is Abby Jimenez, Just for the Summer (she’s a traveling nurse and they meet online and end up having a fling that turns into something more) and it’s a romance takes place in Minnesota with lots of summery dates/activities throughout the story. I couldn’t put it down and I love Jimenez’s novels. I would say she’s Emily Henry-esque but I think with dual POV.

Also check out Julie Soto’s Not Another Love Song. Two classical musicians in New York. It has ReyLo vibes and that’s not my thing at all but still loved this book.

If you like Tessa Bailey then maybe It Happened One Summer (big city girl meets small town fisherman in PNW), and it’s sequel Hook Line Sinker (she owns a bar, he’s a playboy with a secret soft side and treats her like gold). Bailey also has a sport romance series where her best book in my opinion is Fangirl Down (golf / he’s in a slump and she’s his number 1 fan turned caddy).

I mostly read romance and these that I mentioned are all like at least 3/5 spicy, but good plots, characters, and a summery vibe. Happy to recommend more if you want to narrow it down based on your fave reads.
