*I messed up the categories, I apologize. I meant male, female, non-binary, and Agender.
For me I see gender as binary and then not. Because to me male and female trans and cis folk have the same gender. I think adding cis and trans before women & men is just adding more detail.
If we look at gender in the analogy of cars for example:
Men: Has cars
Women: Has trucks
Agender: Has motercycles
Non-Binary: Has Jeeps
Now, someone can go "I own a car" (I'm a boy) and you'd know they're a boy. BUT someone could also give you more information saying "I own a red car" (I'm a trans boy), and he'd still be a boy, just providing more information.
At least that's how I see it

Gender is literally just how you fit into the socialistic construct society has built.

Probably non-binary, and enby is an umbrella term for anyone who doesn't fit the binary

dy mean that this isnt really who people are but theyre doing it because its 'normalized'?
You're like so far right, you've almost just made a 180 to the left. That's EXACTLY what we're saying. And that's why a lot of folk identify as non-binary, because their brain doesn't fit the standard of the two binaries that society has built. Now, as a trans man my brain fits the societal construct of men. And that is why I am a man. Not because of what's in my pants, but because my brain more strongly aligns with that of a cis mans, not a cis women.

if thats what your saying, thates crazy lol

Well one of the first things people recognize is gender, consciously or subconsciously, like when you see a feminine presenting person in public and you talk to your friend about them your immediate reaction would be to use she/her (or they/them if that's your go to for people you dont know)
Thus when a person's gender doesn't align with their sex they have the urge to change how they look so people recognize them for how they feel they are which is why trans people or any person outside the gender norms will try to change their body/look

Time, gender, age, and sexuality are all things made up by society to label us and put us into neat little boxes to prevent confusion. Had nobody come up with these names or titles for different bodies and points in peoples lives or ect we wouldn't really know what it is nor would it impact our lives the way it does now-
we've normalized these standards and labels so we can elevate ourselves-
like with social standing/class-
another construct thats been layed on people even money
Not many could envision our lives without money or the idea of a persons social ranking in the world but had we not invented money we wouldnt have people placed into these imaginary lines of class separating the poor from the rich.
(btw this is a very existential topic so ,like, just tell me if what I'm saying is confusing.)

it's the same with religion, there's so many different ones and it's all because people need something to follow and guide them and to feel the safety and comfort that some eternal being(or beings) is watching out for
Had nobody decided to put their faith into these once living people and build up a faith and hierarchy and dream of the afterlife religion wouldnt exist
its a mindset and comfort meant for the followers

I guess religion would be a different argument, so maybe we won't go there just yet.

Faith, I'm going to repeat this ONE more time for you, WE DON'T CHOOSE THIS. I've cited a plethora of sources to prove that, it's a biological & neurological phenomenon.

i didnt say u choose the desire. but u absolutely CAN choose ur actions. its your life so im not going to say what you should choose, but to say u have no control over ur actions is just a bad excuse

Of course we can control our actions?? I NEVER said we couldn't, but we can't change the fact that our gender doesn't match our sex. What if I put you in a man's body, and then forced you to live like that for the rest of your life? It sucks, it sucks SO much. And I genuinely wouldn't wish this on others. So I'm sorry you may not understand, or may not be comfortable with my choice to transition, but I will not NOT transition, because this choice is life saving.

You can't change your kind. xx and xy stay the same.

That's sex. Not gender.

Yk it's bad when you need to use the root of a Latin word, when literal basic biology deproves you claim <\3

You should be kind to see yourself be kind. THAT'S why you should respect someone. And it's not "imagination", it's a social construct.

literally u agreed with me that it was imagination
is it kind to go along with someone's lie?

Also, you're wrong about it being adopted in the 1900s. It was actually being used in the 14-15th century. It was the 20th century when they started using the word sex to refer to mating, rather than it's previous use of being synonymous with the word gender.
