personally I didn’t enjoy the first book either and it took me really long to read but continue because the second book is amazing!! and the third book is also crazy
I didn’t enjoy it to be honest (fans don’t come at me plz) don’t risk putting yourself in a slump trying to finish it c
Tbh I don’t think once upon a broken heart is worth the hype and next books were better but not much so yeah I wouldn’t read it if I were you

Yes it is one of my favorite books
I personally enjoyed the first book. I am reading the second book now. It is a YA book and the dialogue is more informal but the plot is great.
The first book is honestly not that interesting some good parts but not much for me. BUT the second books is one of my favorites! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND. It’s the best in the series
when I first started reading it, it was kinda boring for me since it seemed fairytale type of and I prefer adventurous fantasies. but after reading the whole book, it seemed kind of average but not 'good' . this is just my opinion
That is a whole 3 book series with more in the potential future... if you don't like it then don't waste your time and energy and move onto something else. Garber as enough fans so she'll be ok.
When I read the series the first book was a struggle to get through for me as well. I feel like the first book was just kinda there to set up the action for the remaining books. The second and third books are much better and more entertaining for sure. I enjoyed them but they did have their moments where it just dragged on and on

Omg I was the same way!! I read Caraval first and LOVEDDDD IT! I read once upon a broken heart and didn’t understand the hype… idk I forced myself to finish the book and never read the other ones after it. Caraval tops it for me
