Lily🥀 -Semi-hiatus- (lily-semihaitus-) | 143 comments Hi, so I have this thing where I shake when I'm really nervous. Like, teeth chattering, knees shaking if I'm sitting down, body shaking a lot, and I talk really fast. It basically looks like I'm really cold. I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else or if someone knows what this is (like a panic attack or something)?

Penelope Stephens | 46 comments I would say it’s anxiety, but it could easily turn into a panic attack. Hope this helps!

Shaking and teeth chattering can be physical manifestations of anxiety, particularly bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching). Anxiety triggers the body's stress response, causing muscle tension, including in the jaw, which can lead to teeth grinding and chattering.

dalia♡ | 1 comments yeah it happens to me too, not necessarily out of stress but in extremely tensioned situations, like exams and contests. it’s okay though, I don’t think they are panic attacks, just your body reacting to the situation you’re in. Hope this helps, always try to calm yourself, but i have no idea what works for you. <3

Bella | 52 comments that sounds like anxiety or the start of a panic attack. it happens to me too but not as much as you explained it as. it could just be your body's reaction to whatever it is that's making you nervous mabye try different things to calm yourself down and use what works best <3

⋆.˚✦ Mia ✦˚.⋆ (living vicariously through the mc) | 163 comments this happens to me when I’m nervous! Especially when I’m about to go on stage, do a music performance, or start and erg piece (I row).
this is anxiety but panic attacks feel a little different (at least for me idk if they’re different for other people) but it helps to take deep breaths and try to still yourself. Even if your mind knows you are safe, your body will try to convince you otherwise. It can also help to listen to music or distract yourself with a conversation. Hope this helps 🫶

✿Della✿ (of The Hollow) Exact same thing happens to me when I try to do any kind of public speaking especially focused on my voice, which wobbles uncontrollably which is really annoying and I have gotten bad grades for.

cyd⭐️ seeing piwon oct,4th! | 128 comments this happens to me all the time (some examples: when i was younger and realized i was caught in a lie, and the most recent time was when i was about to play a video game with a crush i had.. i was just completely shaking.. teeth chattering, year popping and leg bouncing up and down and a little tmi but i also start sweating a lot/ like forehead speckled with sweat.)

i’ve seen some people on here say to take deep breaths but it never helps me.. so to this day i still haven’t found anything that helps :(
