Thanks I am, sort of. The scabs from the scrapes are starting to come off. I'm down to 1 bandaid from 10. Still have the bruises on my head. Bruises on me knees and it hurts to move bend down or kneel on the floor so I can't do that yet.
The docs said about 2 weeks for the pain and bruising to go away and I've just finished week one.
I've been using the roll-on pain relief on my knees and back because it turned out my back got pretty bruised as well.

Really exciting time this friday- I had the chance to see Fern Brady do her standup show live, and she was so funny! I only heard she was touring a few weeks ago, so I'm glad I didn't miss it. Went with a friends who isn't a big standup comedy fan, but even he said it was a great show!
Finished:
Slaying the Vampire Conqueror- I really liked this one, so far I've liked all the Carissa Broadbent books I've read
-36 A book with silver on the cover or in the title
To Save and to Destroy: Writing as an Other- a really interesting collection of essays about literature and otherness. Listening to this felt like being back in college in an interesting lecture
-no prompt
The Lost Queen- technically finished friday, but I'm going to include it this week. This is ya fantasy on the younger side. High school girl who's been ostracized by her peers begins to gain powers and memories of past lives. Would be good for younger readers getting into fantasy.
-possibly for the "2 books 1 name" prompt, since I own another book with the same name
Currently reading:
Elephant Herd- this has been a slower read for me
Never Say You Can't Survive: How to Get Through Hard Times by Making Up Stories- mix of memoir and writing advice, this has been really nice to listen to
QotW:
So many good books coming up! A few that are top of the list:
The Jasad Crown- loved book 1, and I got a netgalley arc of book 2!
Lucky Day- the next Chuck Tingle book sounds so weird and interesting
Palaver- Bryan Washington's Memorial made me cry and this sounds great too
We'll Prescribe You Another Cat- a follow up to a really sweet Japanese book I loved last year
and then Ali Hazelwood has a few books coming out that I will be getting from Libby asap

In a couple of weeks my book for the prompt 'highly anticipated read of 2025' will be arriving so I'll get that one done this month which will put me at 9 prompts.
Then in June I'm planning to read the one for the prompt 'reminds you of your childhood'.
Those are the two major ones I have planned. After those I'm not sure which other prompts I'll work on.

And big congratulations on your exercise challenges going so well, and your losing 2 sizes is so exciting. Congratulations on all your hard work!"
Thankyou!! I got to wear the new size today (didn't want to risk it at Disney) and it's been so comfortable! I don't even have to open the zip & button when going to the bathroom so that's been lovely.
And thank you. I have so many people in my corner, it's overwhelming, but in a good way!
And all of my tears for your loss of your beloved kitty 3

Quick update from me because I am absolutely exhausted and have to leave in an hour for the cinema (Ocean? David Attenborough? Don't mind if I do!) and still have to..."
Jennifer, I hope your physical went well, in the best possible way! Bureaucrats can sometimes get in the way of benefits for those who need them, I know, so I hope that you get some truly good souls to listen and get it! Wishing you the best.
Edit: BC I just can't type lol.
