This is the first of a series I plan to read more of. Samantha Washington was widowed and is now getting set to open the store she and her late husband dreamed of opening when someone is found murdered in her store/home's back yard. In addition, she's penning a "British" cozy which we get to read installments of during the book. Yes, Samantha is one of the suspects, but she, along with her feisty grandmother plus her grandmother's friends set out to solve the case on their own. This is one star up from the two books I've read by her in the Dog Club Mystery series.
