Bücherhörnchen (usagimono) | 8 comments Hi
I've come across some books that have the language in the title...for example it would read "Any Title in that language (German Edition)" as the title of the book. Its always this strange "German Edition" in brackets...

my question would be if it would be okay if I changed it when I see it? I'm sure someone thought it would make it easier to understand, but I've only seen it with German books, and usually the title of the book itself is already in German. And even if it's an English one the language of the edition is entered separately.

It bothers me because well... its not what the book is called

(while I'm at it...same question for additions to the title like "number one bestseller" or "a novel" - those are descriptions not titles)

minzi | 388 comments In the case of "German edition" and similar additions to the title, I handle it like Martin.

The librarian changelog is also helpful to see if the data was added/changed by a librarian (real person) or by a bot.
