Yes, the duplicate edition is marked as hardcover, but that is incorrect, as no hardcover format of this title was issued by this editor (Livros Horizonte), as you can check on its site:

Should I, prior to merging, correct it to paperback?

If you want us to merge an edition which does not match, you should explain why it should be merged.
I see two hardcover editions, are they both wrong? Wasn't there a 1981 hardcover?
