Powerless, caraval and binding 13 - buy or no?

Hey girliesss! I recently came back from a reading hiatus and started reading again like craaazy! I wanted to ask, what are powerless, caraval and binding 13 about? I wanted to buy them but I'm still not sure because I need to know what they are about... My only prefrences are no spice and something accurate for tweens/teenagers (YA kind of type) any help would mean a lot! <3

definitely check out Caraval by Stephanie Garber! It’s got magic, mystery, and a dreamy, whimsical vibe like a dark fairytale meets a magical game. The romance is sweet and subtle (no spice), and the focus is more on sisterhood, secrets, and figuring out what’s real or not. Super immersive and safe for younger teens too.

As for Powerless, I read it, didn’t love it. It’s a superhero/villain type story with romance and drama, but the pacing and characters just didn’t click for me. That said, I know a lot of people enjoyed the slow-burn tension and morally gray vibes, so it might work for others.

And no, I haven’t read Binding 13 yet, but I’ve heard so many good things about it — apparently very emotional and character-driven. Definitely on my list!

Binding 13 and Keeping 13 have almost no spice honestly. B13 has few kisses and that’s it, and K13 has a little spice, but nothing let’s say too explicit and in heavy detailed. 🙌🏽

Caraval definetely yes, magical circus vibe and with each book I was more hooked
Powerless, it depends if you like such genres and tropes, cause I personaly love everything with challenges like hunger games and really slow burn romance but it worth it

I didn't like caraval, I loved powerless but only book 1, I didn't like the writing or plot of binding 13 but it had some potential with like the found family

binding 13 - no/maybe (characters talk ab some spicy things; actual spice occurring between characters is mild but overall wouldn’t call the book “no spice”

powerless and caraval are spice free and binding has also no spice but heavy themes and in keeping 13 (second book) there is some spice but it's not really detailed
