James Hales | 1 comments I recently published a book and created an author profile on Goodreads, but I’m not sure how to gain visibility or encourage readers to leave reviews. Are there best practices for engaging with the Goodreads community or promoting your book organically on the platform?

Any tips for using lists, giveaways, or discussion Groups to build traction would be appreciated!

Find blogs that cover your genre and write. Offer them a free copy or electronic copy of your book to run a contest or feature your book. Book a few book tours. Dorothy from Jump up your books runs a good tour. Rock Stars, The Children's Book Review- it all depends on your genre. I always pick one good editorial review and pay for it like Kirkus, Foreword, Blue Ink, Midwest Book review. If you are willing to pay for five reviews, send it to Reader's favorite. YOu can put it on there for free and if you are lucky someone might choose to review it. I pay for the five reviews just so I have something to put on editorial reviews on Amazon.
