Author created empty edition and Amazon added an invalid AISN along with "unknown binding" then also added the correct Kindle edition. Can you please merge the invalid edition

Just to be on the safe side, did the author verify that an edition with this cover was not delivered? There is nothing there suggesting a placeholder cover.

That was the original kindle cover, Kindle is the only edition that exists.

I changed the cover on the kindle edition according to the new rule but didn't touch this invalid edition.

So this is an ACE? I thought the new guidelines allowed Kindle ACEs with the older cover. Am I misunderstanding? Admittedly, this isn’t something I usually handle, so I haven’t followed the details too closely.

I asked in the group and was told when a kindle edition changes cover we can deleted the original cover and add the new cover only for kindle and Audible edition.

This was not an Ace, the edition I want merged was an empty edition created by the author with the original cover but no AISN/ISBN then Amazon added an invalid AISN to and edition unknown binding. Then when the book went up on Amazon, a kindle edition was auto created with the correct AISN. so these 2 editions had the same cover but I changed the cover on the kindle edition per the new policy. Sorry if I confused this, I probably should have waited to update the cover to match Amazon after the merge.

I merged it as you asked. I still prefer keeping older covers, but it’s not a battle worth fighting.

I feel like i'm going to get in trouble each time I change a cover, seems wrong after years of DO NOT CHANGE COVERS LOL
