Quote 298497 is an incorrect transcription from the 1994 film adaptation of Frankenstein directed by Kenneth Branagh and written by Steph Lady and Frank Darabont. The correct version of the quote is, “I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.” However, Mary Shelley did not write this. It is not present in the 1818 or 1831 editions of Frankenstein.
I’m unsure how many sources I need to provide, but both the 1818 and 1831 versions of the text are available on Project Gutenberg.
