Matt McBrien | 3 comments There are two different books that are being conflated as if they are a single book. William Best Hesseltine wrote Civil War Prisons: A Study in War Psychology. It is a full length history (~300 pages) on the subject, and was originally published in 1930. It has since been republished in numerous editions. See this link to the work at The Ohio State University Press. https://ohiostatepress.org/books/Book...

Much later in his career, he edited a book containing a series of essays. It was published in 1972, approximately ten years after his death. This was called simply Civil War Prisons. It is considerably shorter than the previously discussed work (~120 pages). See this link to the work at The Kent State University Press. https://www.kentstateuniversitypress....

I'd appreciate it if you guys could separate these as two different works in the Goodreads database.

Thanks.

Matt McBrien | 3 comments Thanks for your attention to this, I appreciate it.

I'm just seeing one other thing needing resolved... The book (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...) is showing a description at the top that aligns with the essay collection, not the book.

Thanks again.
