Hi, there's pages with just sketches of the characters (and comments from the author and/or the illustrator) and the following pages has the characters who make previews (the ones in the picture with my hand in it).
The page after is a blank with the month and year of the edition (like all books -normal novels and light novels-, as far as I know).
We would count the acknowledgements page so therefore everything before it would be counted.If there is a page with a year on it (after that) and nothing else there's no reason to count it.
I took 2 photos, one shows the last numbered page and the second shows the page that leads the count to the one I wrote (the pages with sketches are about the characters who make previews for the next volume in the series).
I didn't count the "blank" with the month and year of the edition because I still don't undertsand if I have to count it or not for any book, it's the next page after the sketches.

Little edit: Can you do the same for vol. 2? It has 295 counted pages but it goes to 299 if you count the pages with sketches.
