Relly Moring (rellymoring) | 16 comments Good morning,
I think something wonky is happening with the ISBNs for the editions of my book.

The paperback ISBN should be 978-1-9992425-0-3
The ebook (and Kindle edition) ISBN should be 978-1-9992425-1-0

Also, do the ebook and Kindle editions have to be separate like they are so it shows three editions? The Kindle edition *is* an ebook.

The paperback and ebook were created manually by this group, but the Kindle edition was pulled in from Amazon when the ebook was distributed there. Now I have a note about an ISBN issue on my book details. Can the ebook and Kindle edition be merged?

Thank you so much for your time and energy!

Scott | 9586 comments Kindle and e-book are different formats, so we keep them separately. (Also, one has an ISBN, and the other an ASIN.)

That's what I originally thought, but then I had a yellow highlighted "error" from the Librarians saying my ISBN had already been used, so I figured something wasn't setup correctly.

Scott | 9586 comments Yeah, we don't really know why GR does the things it does. Sometimes it merges ebook and Kindle, sometimes it moves the ISBN to another edition and makes that the ebook. In any case librarians can't move this data, so if you want to know more you can ask support.
