I have also recently borrowed from the library Eliazabeth and Mary: Cousins Rivals Queens by Jane Dunn, a nonfiction biography of the two queens, and The Last Queen by C.W. Gortner about Juana of Castile. I am very excited about reading these two books over the next weeks.
Christie - I am currently reading C.W> 's book The Last Queen and it is fantastic! Did you read The Confessions of Catherine de Medici with us? This one is just as good.
I also have Chadwick's To Defy a King on my nook. Looking forward to that one.

*hangs head in shame*
This landed last week on my hold shelf at the library and I let it go on to others waiting in line. I do want to read it one day, but I am sooooooo tired of the Tudors at the moment I just couldn't handle it now. Besides, I'm nine books behind in the GR 2011 reading challenge and last thing I need is a huge chunkster slowing me down :p

Hi Sharon, Goodreads has given members the option of a reading challenge as to number of books you plan to read in the year. Go to your main Goodreads page and look on the right hand side (scroll down a bit). You should see it. Join the challenge and choose the number of books you want to read. As you mark books off as read throughout the year the software keeps count for you. Right now it's telling me I'm nine books behind :)

Sharon, I really want to read MG's new book, but right now I'm currently reading several bricks (bricks to me are books over 500 pages, they usually end being my favorites LOL). I'm rereading the series (or what's out of it anyway) A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin in hopes that his July 12 release date of his next book is actually real this time. And I'm starting your Eleanor trilogy too :) I'm really excited to read it. So, maybe in July I'll be able to read it?! I hope!

I haven't read Legacy. I've actually read very few books on Elizabeth. Henry VIII was always more fascinating to me. But lately, I've felt that I should know a bit more about Elizabeth. It sounds like, as far as fiction goes, Legacy is a great place to start with her.

I recommend Legacy as well. Excellent.
I want to read it soon, took, Sharon. Most of the fantasy aficionados that I know put George R R Martin and this series in their top 5 for epic series. Can't wait to try it.

Aly - the Borgia Bride did not hold my attention as much as I had hoped eithr. Not sure why, but I haven't finished it and am not hankering to get back to it yet.

I know, Shirley. So did Jennifer and Colleen, but for some reason, I just haven't been able to give it the attention that it needs. I think I got caught up in a little conundrum that I found, and that kind of set me off for a while.

Same here. She has good taste, you brought her up right, lol. That's why I am surprised about Borgia Bride.
Glad you are liking this one.

Hmmm... I suppose you can take a little credit...
That's too bad you and Aly aren't liking TBB, Lyn. I really liked it. Not very often that we disagree on books like that. Ah well... bound to happen every once in a while :P

I hate the scanned in books. The formatting is so confusing, and I hate having the large blank sections where the formatting doesn't fit. Hope you like When Christ and His Saints Slept. We are doing a buddy read of the whole series in the buddy read folder.

And, by the way, eBay and Amazon both thank you for this thread - I may be singlehandedly keeping them in business!
Lol Tomi and Susanna. I like the way you think. If Amazon, B&N, eBay or any of my suppliers would give me a cut I would be sitting in tall cotton for sure.
