should i read OUABH??

so last year i was super excited to start reading Caraval because of all the hype, but i got bored of it really quickly and ended up dnfing at 40%. ive thought about trying to read it again, but idk if i want too since it put me in a slump last time.
here my problem: i know that OUABH is part of the same universe and have heard a lot of people say they preferred it over caraval. so i want to know if i should try reading that instead? (i know there would be spoilers for the end of the caraval trilogy). would it be confusing to read by itself, and if i didnt like caraval will i likey not like OUABH? i really need some advice and would love to hear peoples thoughts 😭

YES OMG
So im just like you I did not enjoy Caraval like at all. The main characters were annoying, the romance was lacking, and the plot was confusing.
I was rlly skeptical in starting ouabh, and I thought I would hate it too. Little did I know, I was SO WRONG
I literally read it in December and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. The world was amazing and I couldn’t get enough. The main characters are some of my favorites ever (minus Apollo) and the romance was legit one of the best I’ve ever read.

I can totally relate! I thought I'd really enjoy Caraval, but I was pretty disappointed when it didn’t live up to the hype, and I ended up DNFing 75% into the first book. I can definitely say that OUABH is soooo much better! I think you should definitely give it a try, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!🥰
