I just finished reading The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and found the entire topic fascinating. The book starts by giving a small example of cluelessness of mankind as Arthur's home is bulldozered suddenly. He was not aware of the imminent destruction because he did not check his local planning office. Afterwards, Earth is destroyed, because we, as humans, are unintelligible lifeforms compared to other creatures in the universe, did not have the knowledge to check our galaxy's local planning office.

The book portrays how stupid mankind is compared to the developed creatures who have created mind-boggling computers that have produced the answer to The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
