Meskipun tulisan ini fokus pada masalah struktur, beberapa algoritma yang diterapkan dapat juga diterapkan pada bidang nonstruktur yang lebih umum.

Dalam buku ini, penjelasan program didasarkan pada Bahasa Matlab. Untuk pembaca yang tahu pemrograman, akan dengan mudah untuk mencerna materi yang disajikan. Akan tetapi, mereka yang belum memiliki latar belakang pemrograman diharapkan tidak akan mendapat kesulitan karena bahasa pemrograman Matlab merupakan medium komunikasi manusia-mesin yang sangat logis.
