clean/no spice book recs

I literally don't mind any genre but I lowkey need a romance subplot, my fav genres tho would be romantasy, DYSTOPIANNN, contemporary, mystery.

preferably I would want something similar to boarding school/summer camp + mystery/thriller + romance subplot + no spice + found family

fav tropes:

FOUND FAMILYYYYYYYY
love triangle
maybe friends to lovers

I'm not TOO picky I just want something that will change my life like I literally don't mind (but I would REALLY love like a LONG series I can get invested in - btw I've already read BOT and shatter me but I didn't really like them) and closed door/clean no spice.

Hey there!! I read this one series that was like a YA take on Alice In Wonderland (there's two books in the series) called "The Curious Realities" and it was really good!! There was a subplot of romance and the cover is AMAZING!! *no spice!*

I've read the "Shades of Magic" series by V.E. Schwab and it has minimal/no spice (if there is any it's very inexplicit). In essence it's a fantasy series but there's a romance subplot :)

oh and I've you haven't already, read once upon a broken heart trilogy by Stephanie Garber. It's YA fantasy and it has enemies to lovers!

OMG please read The Compound by S.A Bodeen. It’s so good. It’s dystopian kind of, and it’s a two book series but the first is definitely the best. (Read both though). It has no spice. The author said “a comfortable reader gets bored, but an uncomfortable reader remembers” or something along those lines. Basically each book has a component to the story where you’re kind of like “eww..” which is awesome

The Hunger Games!!! In the original trilogy there is one curse word that I remember, and no spice in the whole series. In the prequels there is more cursing, (not much) but still no spice. Maze Runner has cursing, but no spice! Hope this helps anyone! ;)
