Description: Few first novels have created as much popular excitement as The Pickwick Papers–-a comic masterpiece that catapulted its 24-year-old author to immediate fame. Readers were captivated by the adventures of the poet Snodgrass, the lover Tupman, the sportsman Winkle &, above all, by that quintessentially English Quixote, Mr Pickwick, & his cockney Sancho Panza, Sam Weller. From the hallowed turf of Dingley Dell Cricket Club to the unholy fracas of the Eatanswill election, via the Fleet debtor’s prison, characters & incidents sprang to life from Dickens’s pen, to form an enduringly popular work of ebullient humour & literary invention.

As a side note, I couldn't find the exact publishing date, but it's circa 1900s. I own the book myself and it is not provided. Neither is the ASIN, but I added the one that is listed on the books Amazon page. Thanks!

Javier (palchetti) | 30736 comments I think this may be the book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Different ASIN, but those are assigned by Amazon and for physical books you may find single copies of the same edition with different ASIN. About the publication date, Modern Library started in 1917.

If this is not correct, please provide additional information.
