Since I was brave and knocked out my space book, I decided to shake off the dreaded genre, with a favorite genre.(btw my dreaded space book was a great read)
Nate is new to town. He's a little lonely. Besides moving to a new place and having to meet new people, he's also still morning his twins recent passing.
Mitch has closed himself off to relationships.
Which isn't to hard, since his family are town piraras. If you ask anyone in town, they are creeped out by them. They are always around whenever someone dies. So Mich mostly just has his own family to be close to.
But the reason he's closed off to the possibility, is anyone he gets into a relationship with, will age and die long before him.
He doesn't want to get close to someone, to have them grow old, while he stays young. He doesn't think he'd recover from their loss when they die.
I understand Mich didn't really care for being a reaper. He didn't have a choice in the matter. He doesn't want to care about someone and watch them grow old and die. But 250 years without caring for someone, seems pretty lonely. Especially when he'll lose his father and Uncle soon. Well, soon when you consider he'll still be alive for 200 more years. Then who will you have? Just your brother to talk to. That sound depressing. But really it was a fun read. Nate's sister acting like a pesty sister, when most everyone can see her, except Nate.

At least the packed as much in as they could.
I liked that the ending was open to more.
I think there was potential for more.
I enjoyed this one, and really wish there was more than 1 more book in the series.
Oh, and I loved the reference to the old tv series Dead like meI think it was on HBO. I liked that series and was disappointed it was cancelled so soon.

Well i think that was a bit uncalled for when Mitch just walked out on Nate ...half way through Sex !!!
..and now Nate has gone off with Connor !!!
I was a bit surprised have little Nate seemed bothered that all his group were buried under snow ..obvs, mitch & morgan knew they were dead but Nate didnt .The ending still didnt come back to me , but im glad they finally get their hea . Really need to read bk 2 soon , presyming it focuses on teaching Nate the ropes
I've no idea what to expect from this one other than skiing is involved, as I've resisted looking at the book blurb or the comments above for once. No preconceptions.
I've got to chapter 3 & enjoying it so far. The premise is very different to anything I've read before.
